President of the Kyrgyz Republic Kurmanbek Bakiyev met with chairman of the People’s Republic of China Hu Jintao in Dushanbe in frames of the SCO Summit.

President Bakiyev congratulated Hu Jintao on successful conducting of the 29th Olympic Games in Beijing.

The Kyrgyz President noted that Kyrgyz-Chinese relations are developing dynamically not only in frames of SCO.

“A lot has been done in the fields of institutional construction and practical cooperation between the SCO states since the previous summit that was held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. At present Kyrgyz-Chinese relations is developing and I am ready to exchange opinions on further development of our relations”, the Chinese leader said.

He also noted that the SCO countries should unite more and take joint efforts address various modern challenges.

On the results of the SCO Summit the Dushanbe Declaration and Agreement on order of carrying out of joint anti-terrorist exercises.
