KHUJAND, October 30, Asia-Plus — Literary party dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Komsomol (Young Communist League) was held at the Kokhi Roudaki in Khujand yesterday evening.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Secretary of the Sughd Regional Committee of the Communist Party (CPT), Qurbonjon Mirzoyeva, said that the party had brought together veterans and today’s activists of Komsomol in the region.
According to her, more than 200 young people have joined Komsomol in the Sughd province this year.
At present, there are some 3,000 Komsomol members in Tajikistan; of them, 1,200 are residents of the Sughd province. In Sughd, the Komsomol committees have been established in the Bobojonghafurov and Konibodom districts.
