DUSHANBE, October 11, 2008, Asia-Plus  — On Monday November 10, the government passed resolutions replacing a number of educational officials and university chancellors.

Nouriddin Saidov, formerly Chancellor of Tajik State Teachers’ Training University, was appointed Chancellor of Tajik National University, replacing Saidmuhammad Odinayev.  Odinayev was retired for age reasons. 

Zarif Sharipov, who had previously served as the head of the State Service for Education Supervision within the Ministry of Education, was appointed  Chancellor of Tajik State Teachers’ Training University.      

Chancellor of Kulob State University Khursand Azimov was retired for age reasons and replaced by Karimjon Qodirov, formerly deputy of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament).  

Olimjon Boboyev, formerly Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications, was appointed Chancellor of Tajik Economic Institute, replacing Sirojiddin Komilov.  Komilov was relieved of his post of Chancellor of Tajik Economic Institute in connection with transfer to other job.  

Ms. Irina Karimova was relieved of her post of Deputy Minister of Education in connection with transfer to other job and replaced by Ms. Tojinisso Mahmadova, formerly Deputy Chairman of the Khatlon Province.
