DUSHANBE, November 13, 2008, Asia-Plus — On November 11, Chairman of the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament) Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev received the Eurasian Economic Community’s (EAEC) Parliamentary Assembly (PA) Executive Secretary Pyotr Zverev.
Shavkat Saidov, an aide to the upper house speaker for ties with media and NGOs, said that the two had considered issues tabled to the agenda of the Parliamentary Assembly session that would be held in St. Petersburg from November 24-25.
The sides pointed out the necessity of expansion and strengthening of inter-parliamentary relations between member nations of the Community, the aide said.
