KHUJAND, December 16, 2008, Asia-Plus  — Dual killing has been solved in the Sughd province.

According to the Sughd police directorate, the bodies of two residents of Khujand — Zikrullo Ahmadov and Nosir Fayziyev — that have been reported missing since December 10 2008 have been found with numerous stab wounds in an apartment in the city of Chkalovsk.  The residents of Panjakent Zafar Sohibzod and Jovid Toshev have been detained on suspicion of having killed Ahmadov and Fayziyev for the purpose of seizing their cars.

“On December 10, Ahmadov and Fayziyev brought their cars to the car-selling market, Dousti, in the Bobojongharov district where they met with Sohibzod and Toshev who said that they are ready to buy their cars,” said the source, “They took Ahmadov and Fayziyev to Chkalovsk for allegedly handing over money to them for the cars.  Instead of this, Sohibzod and Toshev brutally killed them, inflicting 17 stab wounds on Ahmadov and 26 stab wounds on Fayziyev.”

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Sohibzod and Toshev and an investigation is under way, the source said.
