According to education Minister Abdijabbor Rahmonov, correspondence courses will remain only at teachers’ training institutes and on specialties, in which the country has needs.

In academic year 2008-2009, 28,715 people entered higher educational institutions in the country; of them, 5,876 are correspondence students.
