The production companies in the Jambay District of Samarkand region exported US$10.606 million worth products last year.

For example, the Amin-Invest Joint-Venture, which was established in partnership with businessmen from the United Kingdom and Russia, manufactured goods worth over 2 billion 245 million Uzbek sums.

The knit-wear goods produced at the venture are in high-demand at the domestic market thanks to their quality and reasonable price. At the same time, US$1.345 million worth products were exported abroad.

“As a result of introduction of modern technologies into manufacturing the quality and volume of production are growing,” said the head of joint-venture Emma Kastamirova. “In 2008 high technological machines were procured from Turkey and China and equipped at the venture. These efforts promote creating additional jobs and growth of production capacity.”
