The Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiev takes the working trip to Moscow to hold talks with his Russian colleague Dmitry Medvedev on Tuesday. According to the president, the visit is expected to result into large investments in Kyrgyz economy.
“Our plans are to sign bilateral agreements as between the presidents so on the governmental level that will lead to a flow of investments in our country,” Kurmanbek Bakiev informed lately.
It is expected that the meeting results will be an agreement concerning $150 million grant and $300 million benefit loan at 0.75 percent interest per annum for 40 years. Russia is also ready to remit Kyrgyz $180 million external debt in exchange for 48 percent of Dastan company shares and establishment of Russian Cultural Centre in Bishkek.
The sides will repeatedly discuss the issue of $1.7 billion Russian investment for the construction of Kambarata-1 hydro power station.
Kurmanbek Bakiev will also take part in the session of Collective Defense Treaty Organization members and special sitting of EurAsES council on February 4.
The meeting of Collective Defense Treaty Organization members will be devoted to the creation of collective first response forces, included in the structure of military contingents, special units and Emergency Ministry.
The special sitting of EurAsES council will be devoted to the issues of economic integration of its members and to the Customs union establishment.
