DUSHANBE, February 13, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Iran’s northern Mazandaran Province intends to hold two exhibitions of its commodity producers in Tajikistan this year.

This issue was discussed yesterday at a meeting of first deputy head of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCI) Odil Sangov with visiting vice-president of Mazandaran’s Chamber of Commerce Ahmad Asghari, according to the CCI press service.

The sides agreed to organize the exhibitions in Khujand on May 27-31 and in Dushanbe on November 4-8.  Mazandaran’s large companies working in the agrarian sector and food industry will put on display their achievements at the fairs in Khujand and Dushanbe, the press service said.    

During the meetings, Sangov noted that Tajikistan was ready to bolster economic ties with Iran, with the country”s Mazandaran Province in particular.

We will recall that the first universal exhibition of the Mazandaran commodity producers was held in Dushanbe on August 9-13, 2008.  More than 35 companies participated in the exhibition, having put on display their achievements in farm produce processing, production of herbs, packing equipment, building materials, as well as office interiors and landscape architecture at the fair.
