DUSHANBE, February 13, 2009, Asia-Plus  — As of January 31, 2009, a loan portfolio of open joint-stock company (OJSC) Orienbonk, which is one of Tajikistan’s largest financial institutions, has amounted to 723.2388 million somoni, according to Orienbonk’s press service.

In the distribution cross section the proportions of loan recipients in local currency were: private commercial enterprises – 70.84 percent; agricultural enterprises – 23.32 percent; state-owned enterprises – 0.59 percent; and physical entities – 5.25 percent.

In the distribution cross section the proportions of loan recipients in foreign currencies were: private commercial enterprises – 62.49 percent; agricultural enterprises – 13.75 percent; state-owned enterprises – 23.65 percent; and physical entities – 0.11 percent.

We will recall that as of December 31, 2008, Orienbonk’s loan portfolio amounted to amounted to 753,823,621 somoni.
