ROGHUN, February 17, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Some of labor migrants that have returned from Russia are currently seeking jobs at the site for construction of the Roghun hydroelectric power plant (HPP).

In the meantime, Ms. Sharifamo Qhayurova, the chairperson of the Roghun employment center, told Asia-Plus today that they were not able to accept all those interested for employment at the Roghun site because of shortage of shortage of lodging.

“Thus, six persons fro Khovaling and two other from Vose have come to work at the site for construction of the Roghun HPP; they have failed to become employed for shortage of lodging,” said Ghayurova, “Moreover, the majority of those interested in working at the site of the Roghun HPP do not have proper specialties or qualifications.”

She further added that the Roghun employment center would hold job vacancies fair in March.  Besides, short-term training courses on welding, masonry and other construction specialties will be organized in Roghun.  “4,200 workers and specialists currently work at the site for construction of the Roghun station,” Ms. Ghayruvoa, noting that they intend to employ another 1,000 workers and specialists in March.
