DUSHANBE, March 16, 2009, Asia-Plus — Customs officers seized more than 2.5 kilograms of heroin at the Dushanbe airport last Friday, a source at the Customs Service told Asia-Plus on Monday.
An inspection of passengers on the flight Dushanbe-Moscow found 2.558 kilograms of heroin hidden in two false-bottom sports bags belonging to the Dushanbe resident Z.E.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the drug courier and an investigation is under way, the source said.
