Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, the head of the PA Sudmand Tolibjon Saydaliyev said that assistance would be provided to 35 families living in four districts of the Kulob region.  “The families will be selected in Hamadoni, Vose, Temourmalik and Baljuvon districts,” Saydaliyev said, noting that beneficiaries will receive 25 kilograms of wheat flour, 2.5 liters of vegetable oil, two kilograms of macaronis and two kilogram s of sugar each.

Representative office of AIDS Foundation East-West in Tajikistan has assumed financing of this humanitarian action and we will prepare a list beneficiaries as well as purchase and distribute foods products to the beneficiaries, the Sudmand head said.

World Tuberculosis Day, held annually on March 24, commemorates the date in 1882 when Dr. Robert Koch presented his discovery of the TB bacillus to a group of doctors in Berlin.  This year, World TB Day will focus on the efforts of frontline TB care providers and their crucial role in stopping TB.
