Traditionally, sowing campaign begins with seminars that are held for last several years in Ellikkalin district in the south of Karakalpakistan.
Chairman of Jokargy Kenes [Parliament] of Karakalpakistan Musa Erniyazovtook addressed the meeting regarding importance of quality sowing campaign.
Managers of relevant agencies and enterprises have been instructed to financially encourage mechanizers and their assistants, to make advance payments to workers engaged in the sowing campaign on time. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources of Karakalpakistan, all machinery of the country is ready to sow cotton and the soil has been prepared for this as well.
24 tons of cotton are expected to be collected in Elliccan district where a demonstration seminar was held.
