DUSHANBE, April 10, 2009, Asia-Plus — On Friday April 10, President Emomali Rahmon met with heads of the country’s law enforcement and power-wielding structures, according to presidential press service.

Activities of the Committee for Emergency Situations (CES), the Drug Control Agency (DCA) and the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption were a major topic of the meeting.

The president pointed to the necessity of making fight against corruption, drug trafficking and other crimes more efficient.

Rahmon also urged the law enforcement and power-wielding authorities to use budgetary funds sparingly, the press service said.
