KHUJAND, April 27, 2009, Asia-Plus — Six cases of suicide have been registered in the Sughd province over the last weekends alone, according to press service of the Sughd police directorate.

Those who attempted to committed suicide over the last Saturday and Sunday are aged 13 to 38; two of them – 6th-grade pupil and a 17-year-old girl — have been saved.

The suicide cases have been caused by family and economic problems and local prosecutors are currently investing into the cases.
