Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbaev draws attention of the Government to the development of agroindustry of the country.

“We need to purchase up to date technology, materialize agroindustry in accordance with increase in price and demand for food products in the world,” the President said at the 12th convention of the Nur Otan Party, led by the president himself, in Astana on Friday.

“We have all necessary conditions. In the past several years we have been investing into the agroindustry and we became the largest exporter of the bread grain in the world, and took the first place in respect to flour export,” the head of state noted.

He believes Kazakhstan has a capacity to establish large fattening farms and sell organic grain to Russia.

“170 projects worth KZT 150 billion are being implemented at the moment, 96 out of which will be finished this year. Gross value added of the agroindustry should increase by at least 16% due to these projects,” Nazarbaev noted.
