DUSHANBE, June 2, 2009, Asia-Plus  — The board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament considered a bill on rural self-administration at a June 1 meeting presided over by its speaker Saydullo Khairulloyev.

Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, said that the board had also discussed amendments to the law on holidays as well as the criminal code.

The board also considered issues related to ratification of an agreement on interaction between the CIS defense ministers in controlling radiation, chemical and biological situation.

Some of these issues will be considered at a sitting of the fifth session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the third convocation on June 10, Sultonov said.
