The Islamic Development Bank is interested in joining new large-scale investment projects that are currently under way in Turkmenistan and, above all, in establishing the national tourist zone Avaza. This was reported yesterday by the head of the IDB, Ahmad Mohamed Ali Al-Madani, during his meeting with President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The high-ranking guest, who arrived in the Turkmen capital to participate in the 34th annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the IDB, expressed his deep gratitude for the initiative to hold the IDB”s summit in Ashgabat, emphasizing the high level of its organization, reports press service of the Turkmen leader.

The head of state and the IDB president discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation in the long run. The two sides expressed confidence that this summit would open up new opportunities for effective partnership, as well as strengthening the IDB member states” cooperation with Turkmenistan.
