Moscow does not have any information on the fact that Washington and Tashkent hold negotiations on stationing American military base on the territory of Uzbekistan.

“We have no data, confirming this information,” MFA source reported on June 10, “Interfax” wrote.

Washington and Tashkent hold negotiations on opening American military base in Uzbekistan as a substitute to air base “Manas” in Kyrgyzstan, some mass media reported earlier. “If Bishkek does refuse from American military presence, then American airplanes may re-base to Uzbek international airport “Navoi,” mass media wrote with reference to American council on international relations member Jeffrey Mankoff.

USA addressed Uzbekistan with an offer to station their military base on the territory of the republic, according to him.

Decision on withdrawal of coalition air base “Manas” was made by Kyrgyzstan on February 20, and in 180 days, before August 18, last military officer has to leave the territory of the republic.
