DUSHANBE, June 17, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Fourteen Chinese nationals were injured on Tuesday (June 16) as their car fell over precipice in Sughd’s Ayni district, according to the Interior Ministry traffic police directorate.

The accident took place in the area of Boghi Murod in the Ayni district, 140th kilometer of the highway from Dushanbe to Khujand.  “The rockfall that occurred in the area took the car with 14 Chinese nationals, working for China’s TBEA, on board into the precipice,” the source said.

The driver and thirteen passengers received various injuries and were taken to the central district hospital in Ayni.
