Kyrgyz law enforcement agencies revealed 733 drug traffic cases in 2009, press service of the Kyrgyz Interior Ministry reported.

According to its data there were registered 22 cases of drugs smuggling, 494 cases of drugs storage with no intent to sale, 181 cases of drugs storage with intention to sale, 8 cases of inducing to drugs use, 6 cases of psychoactive plants’ cultivation and 13 drug dens’ were discovered in the republic.

Over 1,700 tons of drugs, including opium, hashish, heroin, koknar and marihuana have been confiscated from illegal trafficking for the same period.
