KULOB, July 20, 2009, Asia-Plus  — In January-June 2009, a net profit of branch of Agroinvestbonk in Kulob has amounted to 702,000 somoni (TJS), which is two times more than it was originally planned, Sayfiddin Qadamov, the head of Agroinvestbonk’s branch in Kulob, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.

According to him, all branches of Agroinvestbonk in Kulob zone, except for the branch in the Temourmalik district, have realized profit over the report period.  “Loan allocations have decreased only by 7.5 percent compared to January-June 2008 and a loan portfolio has increased by 10 million somoni in the year to June 30, 2009,” Qadamov said.

Agroinvestbonk is the main loan provider in Khatlon’s Kulob region.  “Of 46 million somoni of loans provided in the region over the report period, some 24 million somoni have been provided by Agroinvestbonk,” Qadamov said.

Founded in 1992, Agroinvestbonk, with headquarters in Dushanbe, has main branches in Khorog, Khujand, Kulob and Qurghon Teppa and 61 other branches across the republic.
