Officers of the Kyrgyzstan’s Drug Enforcement Agency have seized a large consignment of Afghan raw opium with total value of over $7 million, Vitaly Orozaliev, first deputy director of the agency told the news agency 24.kg. Wednesday.

As part of the joint operation, controlling drug trafficking from Afghanistan to CIS states, Kyrgyzstan along with colleagues from the neighboring countries seized 204kg of raw opium and detained four members of an international drug community, including the chief of the channel.

The operation is ongoing.
