DUSHANBE, August 28, 2009, Asia-Plus  — A meeting of the Chairman of the State Committee for Investments and State-owned Property Management Farrukh Hamraliyev with visiting Director General of Qatari Diar Ghanim Bin Saad Al-Saad, was held at the site for the Diyori Dushanbe project  in Dushanbe on August 27.

The project will be implemented in the center of Dushanbe near the Javonon (Youth) Lake.

Speaking to reporters the Qatari Diar director general noted that the Diyori Dushanbe project that would be implemented on an area of 68,000 square meter included construction of residential buildings, commercial buildings, shops, a five-star hotel as wells sports and entertainment centers.

In the meantime, asked about construction of Central Asia’s largest mosque in Dushanbe, Farrukh Hamraliyev noted that negotiations on that subject were still being conducted.  However, Qatari Diar will not implement this project, Tajik official said.

The Diyori Dushanbe project presentation with participation of President Emomali Rahmon and Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev was held the same day.

The Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company (Qatari Diar) invests in and develops residential and commercial properties to the government, energy and commercial sectors of Qatar.
