Speaking at the project-presenting company, President Rahmon said that he proposed to think over construction of the building of the Qatari Embassy in Dushanbe and the building of Qatari Bank in our capital city within the framework of the project.  According to him, Tajikistan and Qatar has reached an agreement on opening of the Qatari Embassy and Qatari Bank’s office in Dushanbe.

Rahmon noted that Tajikistan was currently experiencing acute employment problems and implementation of that project would create new jobs for Tajiks.

Mr. Ghanim Bin Saad Al-Saad said that some 500-600 Tajik builders would be involved in implementation of the project.

“We will thoroughly control the quality of work and based on this you may get new projects for implementation in Tajikistan,” the Tajik leader said.  He also recommended using local building materials such as crushed stone, cement, sand and bricks.  “Under conditions of the global financial crisis, prices of some building materials, for example, reinforcing steel and glass, have fallen and I recommend you purchasing them in advance,” Rahmon said.

Qatari guests assured that the project would be completed by the 20th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence, September 9, 2011.
