DUSHANBE, October 2, 2009, Asia-Plus  — The Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) yesterday considered and ratified government-to-government agreements on mutual protection of investments signed by Tajikistan with Mongolia, Lithuania, Belgium, and the Belgium-Luxemburg Economic Union.

Deputies of the Majlisi Namoyandagon also endorsed amendments to the country’s laws on precious metals and precious stones, energy, state symbols of the Republic of Tajikistan, employee retirement incomes, atmospheric air protection, and licensing certain types.
