DUSHANBE, October 16, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Preparation of the upcoming visit of President Emomali Rahmon to Russia was a major topic of a meeting of Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi with visiting Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin that was held here on October 15, according to the MFA information department.

In the course of the talks, the two also discussed a broad range of issues related to state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and the Russian Federation as well as the situation in the region.

We will recall that Grigory Karasin is attending the third two-day regional conference of Russian fellow-countrymen living in Central Asia’s that is concluding in Dushanbe today.
