During the 15 session of the General Assembly of the Kazakhstan People President Nursultan Nazarbaev said that he thinks about the necessity to create the agency of religious affairs.

“Today some young Kazakh citizens get the religious education abroad. There are occasions when they come under the influence of extremist ideas which have nothing in common with religion,” Nazarbaev said.

Nazarbaev noticed that key Kazakh confessions together with state bodies could work more actively with faithful youth and help it to get real religious knowledge.

“May be we need to create the special agency of religious affairs. I assign to work out this question to the President”s administration and the government of Kazakhstan,” Nazarbaev said.
