DUSHANBE, November 16, 2009, Asia-Plus  — International Education Week (IEW) is starting in Dushanbe today.

According to the U.S. Embassy in Dushanbe, U.S. Ambassador to Tajikistan, Kenneth Gross, and Tajik Minister of Education, Abdujabbor Rahmonov, are taking part in opening of IEW in the Tajik capital.

The event participants will be able to familiarize themselves with conditions and opportunities of studying in foreign countries.

International Education Week, which is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education, is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide.
