Gennady Pavlyuk well-known Kyrgyz journalist died of fatal injuries approximately at 6:00 AM in Kazakhstan on Tuesday after apparently being thrown from the window of a six-floor apartment, Kazakh journalists told.

The day before investigation identified suspects in attempted murder of the journalist.

Investigation officers consider several versions of the incident, including “professional activity of Pavlyuk and his personal circle of contacts.”

The Kyrgyz journalist arrived in Almaty on December 16 and was staying at the Kazakhstan Hotel. A man picked Pavlyuk up at the hotel at about 2:50 PM and they drove away northwards.

Several hours later the journalist was found in very grave condition and taken to an Almaty hospital where he died without regaining consciousness.
