DUSHANBE, December 24, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Registration of legal entities (enterprises) and individuals engaged in private entrepreneurship has been handed over from the Ministry of Justice to the Tax Committee as the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) yesterday endorsed the bill on amendments to the country’s law on state duty.

Presenting the bill, MP Safarali Gulov noted that the proposed amendments are dedicated to make state registration of new enterprises and entrepreneurs easier.  “Adoption of amendments proposed to the law by the government is a serious step towards implementation of “One-stop-shop” (OSS) principle when state registration of enterprises and entrepreneurs in the country,” Gulov said.

Deputies of the Majlisi Namoyandagon yesterday also approved amendments to the country’s law on migration.  Under these amendments, the procedure of issuing work permits to foreign citizens and stateless persons will be determined by the government.
