DUSHANBE, December 23, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Two Tajik alpine skiers – Alisher Qudratov and Andrey Drygin – have qualified for the XXI Winter Olympics in Vancouver, according to the National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan (NOC).

They are currently in Moscow and within the next few days they will go to Europe to train for the Olympic Games, the NOC source said.

The 2010 Winter Olympics, officially known as the XXI Olympic Winter Games or the 21st Winter Olympics, will be held on February 12–28, 2010, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, with some events held in the resort town of Whistler nearby. Both the Olympic and Paralympic Games are being organized by the Vancouver Organizing Committee (VANOC).

The number of National Olympic Committees that will enter teams in the 2010 Winter Olympics is still unknown, but projected to be over 80.
