DUSHANBE, March 1, 2010, Asia-Plus  — On Saturday February 27, Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi met with the ambassadors of France (Mr. Henry Zipper de Fabiani), Germany (Ms. Doris Hertrampf) and Great Britain (Mr. Trevor Moore), according to the MFA information department.

The sides discussed a broad range of issues related to many-sided cooperation between Tajikistan and the European Union.

The Tajik foreign minister noted that political and economic cooperation in the Central Asian region, implementation of water-and-energy and transportation development projects as well as the situation in Afghanistan were among priorities of cooperation with the European countries.

The sides, in particular, considered issues related to establishment of peace and stability in Afghanistan, support for reconstruction of Afghanistan’s economy, as well as a number of regional and international issues being of mutual interest.
