DUSHANBE, March 15, 2010, Asia-Plus — Tajik police seized 21.5 kilograms of narcotics in three separate operations yesterday.

According to the Ministry of Interior (MoI), 18 kilograms of hashish were confiscated from the 37-year-old resident Hamadoni district (Khatlon) Zarifkhon Malikov on March 14.

The same day, the 19 year-old resident of the northern city of Istaravshan Jumaboy Nosirov was arrested on suspicion of having been involved in drug trafficking.  2 kilograms of heroin were confiscated from him.

Besides, the 62-year-old Jumabek Hodiyev was detained in Dushanbe yesterday and 1.5 kilograms of marijuana were confiscated from him, the source at a MoI said.
