DUSHANBE, April 1, 2010, Asia-Plus — Another drug courier who was trying to transport narcotics to Russia was detained at the Dushanbe airport Thursday morning, according to the Customs Service under the Government of Tajikistan.

An inspection of passengers on the Dushanbe-Moscow flight Tajikistan found 969 grams of heroin hidden between sides and lining of a suitcase belonging to the 24-year-old Tajik national Y.S.   

The transportation prosecutor’s office has instituted criminal proceedings on drug trafficking charges and an investigation is under way.
