DUSHANBE, April 1, 2010, Asia-Plus  — On March 27, Tajik national Andrei Avganov living in the Russian city of Ryazan went  to a walking trip from Ryazan to Dushanbe, according to the Tajik Embassy in Moscow.

Mr. Avganov dedicates his walking tour to the 65th anniversary of the Victory over Nazi Germany and the 19th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence, the source said.

In this connection, the Tajik embassy has applied to heads of all Tajik public associations active in the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan to provide assistance to Andrei Avganov.

To-day, Avganov has reportedly reached the settlement of Shipovo in the Ryazan region.  During the tour, he will also travel to Shatsk, Penza, Syzran, Tolyatti, Samra, Buzuluk, Orineburg and Orsk in Russia, Almaty in Kazakhstan, Bishek in Kyrgyzstan, Tashkent, Bukhara and Samarqand in Uzbekistan and Konibodom, Ayni and Dushanbe in Tajikistan.

Andrei Avganov is expected to reach Dushanbe by Tajikistan’s Independence Day, which is marked on September 9.
