DUSHANBE, April 2, 2010, Asia-Plus  — The next session of the council of CIS migration service heads is scheduled to take place in Rostov am Don, Russia on April 16, according to the Interior Ministry Migration Service.

The migration service chief Safiullo Devonayev who is also deputy chairman of the council of the CIS migration service heads will represent Tajikistan at this meeting.

The meeting will consider issues related to the present migration situation within the CIS area, cooperation between the CIS migration services and international organizations, raising professionalism of the migration service officers dealing with the migration problems, the source aid.

Established in 2008, the council of CIS migration service heads is dedicated to facilitate regulation of migration process, formation of common approaches to countering illegal migration and harmonization of the migration laws of the CIS member nations.  The first session of the council took place in Minsk, Belarus.  The next two sessions were held in St. Petersburg and Bishkek respectively.

The council members include migration service chiefs from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bealrus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
