KHOROG, April 8, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Murgba is the second district in the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (Gorno Badakhshan or GBAO) to fulfill the spring conscription target.

The chief of the GBAO military registration and enlistment office Zafa Davlatov has told Asia-Plus that 28 recruits from the Murgab district were sent to military units on April 7.

As it had been reported earlier, the Shugnan district fulfilled its spring conscription target on April 2.

“By April 6, Gorno Badakhshan has reached 81 percent of the spring conscription target, with the Rushan and Ishkashim districts having reached more than 80 percent of the target each,” said the GBAO chief recruitment office, “They are followed by the Roshtqala and Darvoz districts.”

“The conscription campaign is being carried out little slower in the city of Khorog and the Vanj district, however, we plan to complete the conscription campaign by May 9, when the 65th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 will be marked,” Davlatov said.

We will recall that the spring conscription is carried out from April through May 2010.
