DUSHANBE, April 8, 2010, Asia-Plus – President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiyev has resigned from his post, Governor of Jalalabad province of the country Koshbay Masirov said at the meeting in the province, APA reports quoting Fergana.ru.

Masirov said they would defend their townsman Bakiyev till the end.

Bakiyev is also expected to address the meeting. The committee on defense of Bakiyev’s rights was established in Jalalabad.
