DUSHANBE, April 14, 201, Asia-Plus  — Tuesday afternoon, President Emomali Rahmon had telephone conversations with Khatlon Governor Ghaubullo Avzal, Kulob Mayor Homid Abdulloyev and Vose District Chairman Sulton Valiyev to discuss measures taken by them to mitigate effects of natural disasters that hit Khatlon province in recent days, according to presidential press service.

The Khatlon regional administrators noted that all necessary measures had been taken to mitigate effects of heavy rains and floods in Vose, Muminobod, Shuroobod, Baljuvon and Khovaling districts.

The head of state ordered to provide assistance to the disaster-hit population, especially in the Vose district that was the worst hit area.
