The bank’s assets rose 34.3 percent over the report period and reached 638.9 million somoni.

“Over the first three months of this year, Amonatbonk have provided 35.1 million somoni in loans to more than 2,000 clients and the bank’s current loan balance portfolio amounts to 221.9 million somoni,” Hasanova said.

Besides, 422.6 million somoni worth of shares in Roghun have been realized through Amonatbonk’s branches since January 6, 2010 and 401.1 million somoni of this amount have been transferred to the finance ministry account.

Amonatbonk is the only state-owned bank.  It is one of the oldest in Tajikistan (established in 1925) and one of the largest based upon various criteria – including the number of branches and the number of served clients.  The institution is unique in its orientation towards implementing social, pension and other state programs.  Amonatbonk has 5 regional centers, 69 branches and nearly 500 agencies. This gives the institution a presence in the most remote mountainous parts of the country.
