DUSHANBE, April 26, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Russia’s publishing house, Khudozhestvennaya Literatura, has nominated the novel “Stoyashchiy i Rydayushchiy sredit Begushchikh Vod” (Staying and Wailing among Running Waters) by Temur Zulfikarov for a Nobel Prize in Literature.

According to the Moscow-based media holding, Tajinfo, the complete set of works by Temur Zulfikarov was published by Khudozhestvennaya Literatura last summer with financial support from known Russian entrepreneur Alisher Usmanov.

Written in 1993, the novel “Stoyashchiy i Rydayushchiy sredit Begushchikh Vod” tells a sad story of love during the civil confrontation in Tajikistan.

Temur Zulfikarov, born on August 17, 1936, is a Russian/Tajik poet, playwright, and novelist. He was born in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
