DUSHANBE. June 1. “Asia-Plus” — Drug deal worth $4.500 reported prevented in Dushanbe.

According to Tajik Interior Ministry, law enforcement officers have arrested residents of Javan region, A.T. and I.I. who had previous criminal record, who were trying to sell nearly 1kg of heroin.

“The two drug dealers were arrested while trying to sell nearly 1kg of heroin worth $4.500,” the source has said.

Furthermore, the police arrested two residents of Roshtkala region, S.M. and A.Sh. The latter was arrested with 9kg 300g of hashish. The two were arrested at one of the Dushanbe market places.

In general, in early 2010 Tajik law enforcement officers have prevented 426 drug related crimes withdrawing 853kg of narcotics.
