DUSHANBE. June 3. “Asia-Plus” — Shokhona joint-stock company becomes official sponsor of 18-year-old Asia boxing champion Mavzuna Chorieva. Related sponsorship agreement was signed today by the chairman of the Tajik Youth, Sport and Tourism Committee under the government of Tajikistan Maliksho Negmatov and Director General of Shokhona company Navruz Usmonov, representative of the Tajik National Olympic Committee Murodullo Teshaev told the AP.

According to the contract, starting from today, Shokhona will provide young Tajik girl boxer with monthly scholarship and will fund her participation in all international and national tournaments.

Tajik boxer Mavzuna Chorieva, 18, won gold in women’s Asian boxing championship (Astana, May 23-31) in the 60kg category. Top sportsmen in 11 weight categories from 22 Asian countries competed in the tournament.
