DUSHANBE, July 16, 2010, Asia-Plus  — President Emomali Rahmon is visiting Hisor and Roudaki districts today to get acquainted with socioeconomic situation in these districts, according to presidential press service.

In Roudaki district, Rahmon visited the Chimpteppa jamoat, where he familiarized himself with the pace of agricultural works and met with local farmers.

In Hisor district, the president is visiting the Khonaqo jamoat.

Ways to ensure food security, rational and targeted use of lands and other issues related to enhancement of the agrarian sector are the focus of meetings with administrators and the public of the districts.

Deputy Prime Minister Murodali Alimardon, Minister of Agriculture Qosim Qosimov and a number of other high-ranking officials are accompanying the president on this trip.
