KULOB, September 29, 2010, Asia-Plus  — 45 young people from the Kulob zone of Khatlon have been accepted as students at Kostroma State Agricultural Academy (Russia) this year, Asia-Plus has learned from Almossho Shoyev, the head of the innovation ad economic department at the branch of Tajik Technological University in Kulob.

“They are provided accommodation in the Academy’s student dormitory and receive grant of 1,100 Russian rubles each,” said Shoyev, “The grants are provided from the Russian national budget.”

According to him, Tajik students are studying textile technologies, mechanization of farm produce processing, information systems and technologies, veterinary and sanitary examination and merchandising, agricultural power supply, economics and technical service management, etc.

He added that 210 young people from Kulob have been accepted as students at Technological University and Agricultural Academy in the Russian city of Ivanovo over the past two years.
