DUSHANBE, November 2, 2010, Asia-Plus  — A ceremony of an official opening of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Dushanbe took place on November 1.

According to the Tajik MFA information department, the ceremony was attended by visiting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign of Affairs of Saudi Arabia, H.R.H. Prince Ambassador/ Khaled bin Saud bin Khaled, and Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi.

Tajik minister noted that the opening of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia would promote further expansion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

H.R.H. Prince Khaled bin Saud bin Khaled, for his part, noted that the opening of the Embassy was a sign of new stage of development between the two friendly nations.

During a meeting that took place after the embassy-opening ceremony, Hamrokhon Zarifi and H.R.H. Prince Khaled bin Saud bin Khaled exchanged views on bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia.

They highly appraised the level of cooperation between the two countries in the field of investment, within the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) as well as on the Afghan problems, the source said, noting that the sides also underlined the significance of expansion of bilateral cooperation in the fields of labor migration and mountain tourism.
