DUSHANBE, November 2, 2010, Asia-Plus  — The next training course for Afghan drug police officers began at the Drug Control Agency (DCA) in Dushanbe yesterday, according to the DCA press service.

During the seven-day course experts from Swedish National Criminal Police jointly with specialists from Tajik DCA will provide training on trends in drug trafficking in the region and practical measures for countering it.

It is to be noted that the training course is organized in the framework of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Afghanistan in combating terrorism, extremism, transnational organized crime and drug trafficking that was discussed during President Rahmon’s recent official visit to Afghanistan, the source said.
