DUSHANBE, November 4, 2010, Asia-Plus – Farazh weekly newspaper appears again after a four-week break. This time its materials and articles are published on the pages of another weekly edition – Fakti i Kommentarii.

According to Hurshed Niezov, Editor-in-Chief of the Farazh newspaper, not a single printing house agreed to print the edition and editors have found such extraordinary solution. Editors of the two editions decided that Farazh will be issued in the form of appendix to FK.

Niezov said that 4000 copies of the joint newspaper were printed by Oila-Print. Before the merge, the total circulation of the Fakti i Kommentarii was 500 copies.

Hurshed Niezov said that the timeframe for this cooperation remains unclear. “We will try to print our newspaper independently as we did before, but we will have to unite with other editions in case if printing houses continue to refuse us. Perhaps, we will find some other printing methods,” he added.

He is confident that the audience of the edition is interested in the content rather than in the quality of the print.

The 8-page Fakti i Kommentarii is issued in A2 format and is headed by Zafar Abdulloev. This week the newspaper appeared in the same format but with 18 pages.

Zafar Abdullaev called publication of materials of one newspaper in another to be a positive example. “Nowadays there are talks about difficult situation in media sector and I hope that relations between the authorities and a series of independent media will normalize soon,” he said.
